As a 20 year veteran of the painting and restoration industry, it was natural to turn to this side of the coatings business.
Necessity is the mother of invention
In 2004, I was frustrated with painting liquid paint on metal air conditioning registers for a local resort. By then, I had experience restoring boats and furniture under my belt. I was a master painter but was tired of slow dry times, surface rejection, and endless primer coats.
Ever the “do it yourself-er” I was seeking a new way to achieve that perfect metal finish.
That’s when I found out about powder coating. I was immediately intrigued by the process of powder coating and the perfection of its finish.
Now, I want to share my expertise in metal coatings; painting and restoration so that customers can navigate the process of powder coating and make the best choices for getting their projects done.
The RossKote blog reaches some of the top pages in google because it answers questions on topics the everyday consumer has about powder coating. It’s a life hacker’s guide to powder coating.
