Maui Powder Works has been named one of the best finishing shops in the U.S. for 2022, according to an industry benchmarking survey conducted by Products Finishing magazine, a trade publication which has covered the industry since 1936. The magazine conducted an extensive benchmarking survey that analyzes companies in several different areas, including Current Finishing Technology, Finishing Practices and Performances, Business Strategies and Performances, and Training and Human Resources.
Only the top 50 shops were given the honor of being a Products Finishing magazine ‘Top Shop’ based on a scoring matrix of those four criteria.

Cleaner
The process is cleaner & saves Hawaii's over burdened landfills from messy liquids and job clean up. Traditional liquid painting is a dirty business. It creates excessive debris from job cleanup.By it’s very nature powder coatings are a cleaner, more efficient that spares local landfills & saves Hawaii from unwanted waste.

Our Coatings give off negligible amounts of VOCs Volatile Organic Compounds which can affect people & public spaces. Unlike liquid paints and epoxies, powder coatings are more durable and chemically resistant yet contain no solvents; therefore do not emit harmful fumes and gases known as VOCs into the atmosphere.

Occasionally, we will charge by the piece if it is a regular specialty item like rims or auto parts.
